Dirty Three "Dirt Two" Tilson Vineyard Pinot Noir 2023

Producer Notes - "Tilson Vineyard overlooks the South Gippsland Highway just on the outskirts of Leongatha. We recently started leasing this beautiful east facing vineyard from Byron and Courtney Hill. Like Dirt 1 at Berrys Creek, the soils here are deep, red volcanic clays.The grapes usually ripen slightly after Berrys Creek and have the most acidity of all the sites.

The 2023 season was a tough season, wet spring- which reduced yields down by 30%. The ripening season was cool, but made wines with a little more depth and colour than the 2022's. This wine has followed very much in the footsteps of previous vintages. It's full of cranberry, spice and dark cherry notes, very commonly associated with the site. The wine has wonderful purity and the palates supple tannins and elevated acidity pulls the wine long and savoury. We love this release and we look forward to watching it develop over the next decade."
