Jim Barry The Lodge Hill Riesling 2014 [Museum Release in 2024]

Jim Barry purchased the Lodge Hill vineyard in 1977 as he was sure it would "produce some of the best wines in Clare". Situated on the eastern ranges of the township of Clare, Lodge Hill is one of the highest vineyards in the Valley - at an altitude of 480 metres.

"Surprisingly youthful! The nose shows a hint of lightly toasted, lightly buttered bread, as expected of a decade old Riesling. This quickly gives way to bright lemon and apple notes with a hint of spice. The palate is full of citrus freshness and exhibits the region's hallmark chalky acidty." RC (Tasted May 2024.)
