Jim Barry The Lodge Hill Riesling 2012 [Museum Release in 2022]

Jim Barry purchased the Lodge Hill vineyard in 1977 as he was sure it would "produce some of the best wines in Clare". Situated on the eastern ranges of the township of Clare, Lodge Hill is one of the highest vineyards in the Valley - at an altitude of 480 metres.

This wine shows a brilliant pale straw colour in the glass. The nose lifts with white floral bearing lemon, lime and a hint of spice. Delicately poised with mouth-watering acidity, this Riesling is balanced with citrus and a seductive silky line, wet slate and fresh ginger. The palate has great presence, with a talc like minerality into a persistent finish.
