Winery Notes "A beautiful, deep red in colour. Perfumed and seductive with alluring floral notes, red licorice, blackcurrant and dark cherry aromas. The palate is delightfully refined and balanced with generous, dark red cherry fruit merging into ironstone tannins. This is a full-bodied wine of great balance, style and defined fruit characteristics with a long, lingering tannin profile. Yalumba Samuels Collection Bush Vine Grenache 2023

Yalumba is extremely fortunate to have access to some of the oldest Grenache vines in the Barossa, sourcing fruit for this wine from vines planted betweem 1898 and 1973. The nose is saturated with fragrant scents of plums and cherries, and softly overripe raspberries, while the palate shows definition and concetration in its structure. Richly textured and roundly supple, the plumpness of the palate is held together with a fine frame of velvet tannins.

"The 2022 The Relic Shiraz-Viognier contains 2% Viognier skins, and this addition presents in this vintage as a core of raspberry and pomegranate. It is pure fruited and powerfully aromatic, as this cuvee always is. Interestingly, I am tasting this wine from two different glasses: one opened two days ago, one opened this morning.
