Diamond Valley Estate Blue Label Chardonnay 2021

The Blue Label chardonnay was made with premium hand picked grapes, from selected local vineyards in the Yarra Valley. 2021 was a great vintage yielding fully ripe grapes with great balance of acidity. The wine was made in a traditional style using French Oak. It is medium to full in body with creamy almond meal texture and pleasing acidty. Bottled under screw-caps to ensure quality and consistency.

Blend of two parcels - whole berry (partial cab mac) Cabernet Sauvignon and 100% whole bunch fermented Shiraz. Blended together before going into old wood (11 months). A blend of four parcels from the Rising Vineyards Birdwood, Bibs, House and No. 1 blocks. Handpicked, aged in a small quantity of new oak and largely left alone for the fermentation process, allowing it to develop a richness and complexity.
