Domaine Pavelot Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru En Caradeaux 2022

Chardonnay grown at the top of the vineyard on white marl which is perfectly suited to the variety. The vineyard faces east looking across the valley towards En Charlemagne but does not lose the sun early in the evening thanks to the steep wooded hillside above.

A Grand Cru in all but name, located mid-slope, oriented toward the east with a luminosity from the first rays of morning until the dwindling rays of sunset. Small clay deposits. Always rich in limestone accompanied by an elevated level of iron, explaining the reddish tint.
