Avani Amrit Syrah 2020

Avani is a small winery on the Mornington Peninsula, managed by Shashi Singh assisted by husband Devendra. Producing minimal intervention, biodynamically farmed Syrah from their main estate, they also bottle wines with bought fruit from around the Mornington Peninsula GI under the 'Amrit' label. Their Syrah gives us loads of crunchy red and purple fruit, with plenty of natural acidity, and a nose scented with thyme and white pepper.

Distributors's note: Merricks North forms the backbone of the 2023 release, weighing in at 45% of the blend, followed by Balnarring (35%) and Tuerong (20%). Moorooduc Estate Chardonnay 2022

Established in 1982 by Richard and Jill McIntyre, Moorooduc Estate was one of the early pioneers of the Mornington Peninsula. 100% Chardonnay predominantly from the McIntyre Vineyard with a small portion from the Robinson Vineyard. Hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, followed by wild-yeast ferment in French oak barriques (25% new) and natural malolactic. Matured on lees in barrel for 10 months.
