Cinq a Sept is French vernacular for the aperitif time of day. For the uninitiated, Vermouth is a wine based fortified aperitif typically having elements of herb, spice, citrus and bitterness. Miceli were one of the first producers from Mornington we stocked, some 20 years ago. Here they remain, still going strong, with a classic style of Chardonnay just about everyone can agree is delicious. Generous fruit, spiced oak and a plush, creaminess to the finish. Established in 1982 by Richard and Jill McIntyre, Moorooduc Estate was one of the early pioneers of the Mornington Peninsula. 100% Chardonnay predominantly from the McIntyre Vineyard with a small portion from the Robinson Vineyard. Hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed, followed by wild-yeast ferment in French oak barriques (25% new) and natural malolactic. Matured on lees in barrel for 10 months.
