Domaine Rapet Bourgogne Rouge En Bully 2021
Tucked away behind the hill of Corton at 350m altitude in the lieu-dit 'La Grande Corvee de Bully.' Marly limestone soils and a shallow top layer push the vine roots down to tap into the minerally subsoils. A very pinot-like nose combines notes of red cherry with those of earth and a whiff of crushed fennel. The supple, round and delicious middleweight flavors offer good energy that continues onto the mildly austere and rustic finish that leans out slightly as it sits on the palate.
