Bouchard Montrachet 2004 Magnum

BURGHOUND: This has begun to open though it still requires some vigorous swirling to coax the reluctant white flower, ripe orchard fruit and spice notes to reveal themselves yet the massive flavors are concentrated with a powerfully focused finish brimming with minerality that is almost painful as it etches itself into the palate. This is big and intense but focused and actually comes across almost like a great Chevalier-Montrachet at present with perfect balance and this should prove to be a long distance runner. In a word, magnificent. Score: 96 Drink: Try from 2012+
