Classic Clare Valley Riesling from the very well-established winery, Skillogalee. The grapes grow on soaring hills some 500m above sea level. The wine is bristling with Clare character, think Bickford's lime cordial, orange blossom and heady scents of jasmine, all underlain by ripping acidity and freshness from growing at high altitudes.

This classic Dry Apera was sourced from the historic treasure trove of fortified wine at Seppeltsfield. This Amontillado blend consists of DP116 (Aged Flor Apera) and DP117 (Dry Flor Apera).
"Lifted, complex and densely packed - honeyed almonds, toasted nuts, toffee and woody spice. Rich and undeniably dry, with vibrant acidity and a long saline finish."

The Seppeltsfield Paramount Collection is inspired by the traditional Spanish and Portuguese 'fractional blending' method of aging wines. This system delivers high quality and style consistency by blending younger wines into old. After utilising only the very first cut of free-run juice and fortification with a neutral spirit, the DP898 Aged Flor Apera is matured in our Solero nurseries to an approximate average of 48 years, featuring individual components of over half a century in age.

Our traditional house style Tawny - a fortified wine with rich lingering flavours of toasted almonds, praline and vanilla nougat. "Our 21 Year Old Para Tawny is a single vintage wine made from select parcels of the 2004 vintage, carefully drawn from the barrel and bottled to showcase its unique character. Reflecting the growing conditions of a single season, the wine was matured in well-seasoned oak hogsheads. Fortified with aromatic, creamy brandy spirit, it has developed spiced and complex characters through extensive aging." - Winery's Notes

"This is a light, sinewy pinot noir that responds admirably to air. Indeed, tasted over a 24 hour period, it looked its longest, brightest and best at the end of that time. It tastes of strawberry/red cherry, mint, aromatic herbs and woodsy, peppery spice. Tannin is very nicely played and, so long as it's had time to breathe, length is good'. 93 pts. Rockridge are amongst some of our most reliable producers - having been long time fans on the Riesling and Shiraz from them. Their Pinot Grigio, we were delighted to discover, is no exception! It's a pinot grigio fan's dream, hitting all the hallmarks of crisp green apple and lemon citrus fruit notes, with a refreshingly dry palate and a lovely wash of saline minerality that makes it a dream to pair with food or drink on its own. … more

Winery Notes - "Our fortified Shiraz VP is made from the vintage's last fermenter of fully ripened Shiraz fruit from the Mattschoss family vineyard, planted in 1945 in the Siegersdorf region of the Barossa Valley. It is then fortified with a 19 year old wood aged Brandy spirit.
The VP fortifying is an end of vintage celebration and the ritual tends to draw many staff out of the woodwork to inhale some of the most enticing aromas imaginable.

Winery Notes - "P.S. Marion Tawny is our small contribution to the Barossa's great tradition of producing outstanding aged fortified wines.
Aging some special components for 15-odd years in small oak casks and large vats has encouraged flavours to slowly concentrate into our rich and luscious Barossa tawny. Next time you visit Rockford Cellar Door, look up to the rafters and you’ll see our barrels of tawny quietly enjoying the warm & airy conditions, perfect for its slow aging process. … more

Semillon is one of the original Barossa varieties, one that our growers have maintained for generations. This wine faithfully reflects the contribution made by the Sibley and Kalleske families. Their accumulated knowledge draws on five generations of their families’ commitment to the soil and vines and it is this skill that gives the Barossa its strength, stability and soul.
Over the years we’ve learnt to pick each of our growers’ blocks at varying degrees of ripeness, some blocks will be … more
